Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 Release 2 natively support biometrics using the Microsoft Windows Biometric Framework (WBF).
This allows users to register fingerprint credentials for local logon using Windows 7 as well as Active Directory logon using Windows 7 clients and Windows Server 2008 R2.
SecuGen supports WBF with Hamster III, Hamster Plus, Hamster IV, Optimouse III and Optimouse Plus.

SecuGen's popular Hamster Plus fingerprint device is now supported on Linux, SPARC Solaris10 and X86 Solaris10. These SDKs include device drivers for the Hamster Plus as well as sample source code and documentation. A Java Native Interface library and sample java code is also included.

The FDx SDK Pro v3.5 for Windows supports the FIPS/PIV Compliant Hamster IV as well as the Hamster Plus, Hamster III and Optimouse III. This SDK contains SecuGen's NIST MINEX certified fingerprint extraction and matching algorithms and supports the ANSI/INCITS 378-2004 standard. The SDK also supports the ISO 19794-2 fingerprint template standard. Legacy SecuGen 400 byte templates are still supported.
